For the ones who feel the rush of an idea- the ones who know that inspiration does not wait. Who understand that creativity isn’t something to be scheduled, that ideas are fleeting, weightless things, and if you don’t reach out and grab them, they’re gone.

This one is for my fellow creatives - the ones who were told, early on, that they were different. That they were talented. That they were exceptional. And for those of us who spent years trying to live up to that expectation - until we couldn’t anymore.

Creativity is often romanticized - this idea that an artist must suffer, must unravel, must push themselves to the brink to create something meaningful. The “tortured artist” trope is woven into history, wrapped around the legacies of greats who burned too fast and too bright. I never set out to become one of them. But I understand the seduction of it.

There is a moment just before the first note plays where the air holds its breath. A quiet pause, a space between now and then. And then, the music starts, and I am no longer here. I am everywhere I have ever been…
